Snowplay
Did you really visit the snow if you didn’t throw a few snow balls? Located at Falls Creek during the ski season, Snowplay is set up in the Village Bowl which is accessible via chair lift. You can make a snowman, go tobogganing and the kids can even ride kid-sized snow mobiles!

Go on a Winter Walk
Mt Buffalo is criss-crossed with walking trails that are just as delightful in winter as they are in summer. Rug up and venture out into the Mount Buffalo National Park and you’ll be rewarded with some epic, snow-capped mountain views along trails that range from less than an hour to 6 (or more) hour treks. Check out the Parks Victoria website for more information on which trails are open and the conditions you need to be prepared for.
Take a helicopter ride
What better way to capture the views that the Victorian High Country has to offer than from a helicopter? While the flights depend on the weather you’ll be rewarded with an experience to tell your kids about (or share with them!). You can take a helicopter from a number of locations across the Victorian High Country including Mt Buller and Falls Creek.

Visit a Japanese Onsen
Dinner Plain is home to The Onsen Retreat + Spa, a 40 degree outdoor onsen that will have you feeling refreshed after a day on the slopes. There’s nothing more relaxing than warming your bones in an outdoor spa while there is snow all around! The Onsen also offers massages and beauty treatments if you’re still feeling a little stiff.
